General Info

Savion is a Hebrew supported Microsoft Exchange server that is open for all administrative staff and units. In addition to E-mail services it grants access to further services: Calendar, HUJI directory, access to HUJI telephone directory, access to University's forms and regulations. The mail can be also read by web.

 

Access From Campus

Savion Setup - Outlook

Automatic setup of Savion in Edmond J. Safra Campus, Mt. Scopus and Rehovot campuses

Compatibility: Office XP/2003

Download and run from: http://ca.huji.ac.il/bf/ftp/pc/utilities/mangosetup.exe


During the installation you will be asked three times to type your username and password in Savion.

Access From Home

There are 3 ways to access your Savion account from home:

A. Access from web browser - mail.savion.huji.ac.il

B. Reading Savion mail with mail client configured as Microsoft Exchange Server
The advantage of this options is you get to use Savion with its full features, as if you are working from campus.

C. Reading Savion mail via POP3

  • When Working with POP you can read mail from every mail client you wish (Thunderbird, Outlook Express, etc.), but all Savion's services besides the mail itself will not be available.
