Matlab R2011a - Unix Installation

 

Step 1

#
# cd /opt/
# mkdir matlab
# mv ~/Desktop/license.dat .
# cd /media/MATHWORKS_R2011A/
# ./install

 

  • Switch to the opt directory, with
    cd /opt/

  • Create a directory for the intallation:
    mkdir matlab

  • Copy the license.dat file into the installation directory
    with mv ~/Desktop/license.dat .

  • Switch to the installation directory with:
    cd /media/MATHWORKS_R2011A/


  • Start installation with ./install

 

Step 2 matlab1

 

  • Select Install without the Internet

  • Click Next

 

Step 3 matlab2

 

  • Click Yes

  • Click Next

 

Step 4 matlab2

 

  • Select
    I have the File Installation Key for my
    license

  • Type in the product license that
    you have been provided with, in
    the relevant field.

  • Click Next

 

Step 5 matlab2

 

  • Choose Typical

  • Click Next

 

Step 6 matlab2

 

  • In the text field type the full path to installation folder: /opt/matlab

  • Click Next

 

Step 7 matlab2

 

  • Type the location of the license file: /opt/matlab/license.dat

  • Click Next

 

Step 8 matlab2

 

  • Click Install

 

Step 9 matlab2

 

  • Click Next

 

Step 10 matlab2

 

  • Click Finish

# matlab

  • Launch matlab:
    #matlab
